About the position

This position is based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The marketing coordinator supports the marketing team to increase brand awareness, is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the performance of the marketing campaigns assuring maintaining a social media presence. Works closely with the marketing manager to identify market trends through market research and compile reports about consumer needs.

The marketing coordinator will assist the marketing manager in the development of the marketing plan and advertising strategies to fulfill the company goals and achieve customers’ objectives.

Candidate must have a strong employee relations and business partnering experience, we are looking for a fast and willing learner, who can build a relationship with the team and is an excellent communicator and team player who provides support throughout all the marketing process. Previous experience in a high matrix organization is a plus. This position reports to SUMADI´s Marketing Manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing Manager in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy by assembling and analyzing sales, setting objectives, planning and organizing promotional presentations
  • Support and assist marketing manager in social media content developing
  • Assures the website has an optimal performance all content must be updated, reviews areas need to be improved, deleted, or revised
  • Manage mailing lists, assist in the SEO content development
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program progress
  • Monitors social platforms for comments and questions
  • Supports the marketing manager in managing the social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, FB, others|)
  • Monitor budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Maintain events database, assists in the preparation of the exhibits and trade shows
  • Keeps promotional materials ready, coordinating requirements with graphic designer, inventory stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns following the define strategy in terms of objectives
  • Organizes promotional presentations
  • Conduct surveys on customer response and behavior to improve strategies
  • Create presentations on products features
  • Continuously reporting on competitors’ activities
  • Works in conjunction with sales team to coordinate marketing efforts

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 1-3 years related to Marketing/Digital Marketing
  • Strong employee relations and business partnering experience
  • Previous experience in a high matrix organization is a plus
  • Experience working in digital environments or EdTech companies is a plus
  • Experience in the use of data analytics software

Licensure and / or certification:

  • Sales certification or related field are a plus
  • Marketing certification or related field area a plus
